Rotary City distributes book sets to economically weaker section scholarship aspirants Rotary Club of Talegaon Dabhade City presented book sets to the students of Shri Ekvira Vidya Mandir, a school in Karla Maval (Maval) with an aim to provide educational materials to the poor and budding students. Also, a free computer arts test camp was held for class X students of the school in association with BITS Computer Education Institute. Students of Shri Ekavira Vidya Mandir school in Karla Maval are appeared for the Economically Weaker Section Scholarship Examination every year and for the last seven years, students of this school have come to merit in the scholarship examination. Rotary Club of Talegaon Dabhade City presented a book set to the students of the school to mark the fact that agricultural labourers, brick workers, polyhouse workers, tribals and children of low income communities sit for the NMMS exam and appear for merit every year. Also, a free computer arts test camp was held for class X students of the school in association with BITS Computer Education Institute. Rotary City President Ro Suresh Shende said that it is very heartening to see the students of Ekvira Vidyalaya appear in the merit list in the scholarship examination every year. xplaining that competitive exams have a special significance among students, founder president Ro Vilas Kalokhe informed the students about the activities of Rotary City Club. School Committee Chairman Gopale Guruji, while narrating the history of the school and the institution, explained the efforts being made by the school to improve the quality of the students. Kavita Kholam of BITS Computer Education Institute spoke to the students about the importance of computer aptitude testing. The programme was inaugurated by Secretary R. Bhagwan Shinde. It was moderated by scholarship mentor Umesh Ingulkar. Principal Sanjay Vanjare and Senior Teacher Rekha Bhegade welcomed and felicitated the guests. Project Head R. Raghunath Kashyap, Dr. Madhukar Gurav, R. Ramnath Kalawade, C.A. Kholam congratulated the students and Principal Sanjay Vanjare thanked them. Members, principals, teachers and non-teaching staff of Rotary Club of Talegaon City worked hard for the success of the initiative.
